McQueen protégé is the new name in British Luxury
Former Alexander McQueen intern Lee Paton is a Saville Row trained designer who founded his fashion house in 2010. His signature style of intricate embroideries and hand-finishings have earned him clients on an international scale. At the time of meeting Paton in his south London studio, he was preparing to take his ready to wear collection to New York Fashion Week.
Upon making his collection last season, Paton opted for rich wools and tweeds sourced from the British Isles and the Scottish highlands and finished with silks, lace and cottons selected from France. This combination of fabrics and finishes is a nod to the couture techniques of the early Parisian ateliers juxtaposed with traditional British elegance. Now working on his 2nd look book, we were given exclusive access for a sneak peek of Paton's hero pieces that are so on point, you'll probably want them all (we do!)
